Dr Sam Cooper is an Associate Professor of AI for Materials Design at Imperial College London. His group develops tools for the characterisation and optimisation of energy materials, such as lithium-ion battery electrode. Sam is also the co-founder and Chief Scientist at Polaron, whose software is already enabling engineers at many of the worlds top battery manufactures to accelerate their design cycles using high-throughput simulation and generative AI.
